It might have been freezing cold outside – but there was definitely an electric buzz inside helped along by the warming mulled wine.
The Old Lock Up Studio at Cromford was last night packed to capacity for its second exhibition this year.
Rachael Pinks and Clay Smith certainly know how to attract the crowds with their bonhomie and eclectic mix of art by 13 international and regional artists. The exhibition was only on for the one night so unless you were there you have missed it, but judging by the number of people there from the minute the doors on the studio were open, plenty of you got to enjoy the evening.
Taking part were Heather Duncan, Clay Smith, Olivia Punnet, Dermot Punnett, Maja Mihajlovic, Tony Hall, Rob Sawer, Rachael Pinks, Tracy Kershaw, Jane Pepper, Lester Wright, Jackie Berridge, and Sarah R Key.
As well as the festive refreshments there was also live music by Marc Block.
Rachael and Clay are definitely planning more exhibitions next year so to ensure you don’t miss the next one keep an eye on Rachael’s facebook page http://on.fb.me/VaI31U or follow the artsbeat blog and make sure you pick up a free copy of Artsbeat magazine when it is out in the new year.
