Pirates, sea spirits, a desert island and a talking parrot mixed with a little hocus pocus are all to be found in the swashbuckling pantomime Robinson Crusoe and the Pirates – the 2019 panto at New Mills Art Theatre.
If you want to take part you can find out more about auditions for the panto at a Get-Together on September 3 at 7.30pm at the theatre in, Jodrell Street.
Everyone is welcome to go along, meet the production team and register for audition.
Director, Rob Brittles, Choreographer, Cathryn Yates and Musical Director, Tim Walker will talk about the panto, the characters, music, story and will answer any of your questions.
Audition dates will be held later in September and will be announced at the Get-Together. Robinson Crusoe and The Pirates will run over two weekends with performances on February 1st, 2nd and 3rd and 8th and 9th.
The parts up for grabs include Saucy Panto Dame Margarita Juicilita or her daft son Nutty Nick; ruthless buccaneer Cut-Throat; nit-wit pirates Skull-Duggery and Cross-Bones; Poll the Parrot; Davy Jones the underwater immortal baddie and of course the adventurous Robinson Crusoe.
