Chesterfield Gilbert and Sullivan Society’s summer concerts will take place on Friday June 22 at Whittington Moor Methodist Church and Saturday June 23 at St John’s Church, Walton, starting at 7.30pm.
The concerts will include choruses and solos from the G and S repertoire, together with selections of popular numbers from musicals past and present.
These will highlight a medley from the works of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, and also feature songs from Kismet, a show stopper from Jekyll and Hyde, together with Moon River and a traditional version of Come to the Fair.
The singers are also delighted to be joined by guest artiste Helen Wallace-Batley who will perform in both halves of the concert playing flute and saxophone.
Musical Director Andrew Marples will take charge of the evening, with Society accompanist, Chris Flint, at the piano.
