There’s a double-dose of genuine Americana music coming up at Alstonefield Village Hall on March 24.
Headlining are US duo Liam Robinson and Jean Rohe pictured above. Robinson honed his wide-ranging skills as an original US cast member of the award-winning play Warhorse, then as musical director of Anaïs Mitchell’s off-Broadway folk opera Hadestown.
Meanwhile, Rohe was touring and recording with her band, Jean Rohe and the End of the World, perfecting her honeyed, far-ranging voice and collecting accolades along the way.
The two have known each other for over a decade, developing a friendship as they pursued their separate careers.
Joining the duo for the show is Louisiana-born Kate Ellis, whose timeless music reflects a love of classic singer-songwriters.
Her southern country-folk roots come from her father, who was an important early musical influence – he played guitar with the famous country singer, Hank Williams. For tickets call 01335 310322 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
