Nottingham-based author Jon McGregor will be reading from and signing his latest novel Reservoir 13 at Scarthin Books in Cromford on April 21.
The book won the Novel Prize in the Costa Book Awards 2017.
McGregor wrote his first novel, If Nobody Speaks of Remarkable Things, while living on a narrowboat.
It was nominated for the 2002 Booker Prize, making him the youngest contender and only first novelist on the longlist that year.
The event at Scarthins is from 2pm-4pm and will include an atmospheric musical accompaniment (bring a smart phone if you have one).
This is a free event but you are advised to arrive early to secure a place for the reading.
