Lady Maisery and Harri Endersby will be performing at a special candlelit gig at St George’s Church, New Mills on November 18.
The event is being staged by The Studios and New Mills Festival and there will be a real ale bar.
In an English folk scene currently bursting with bold and innovative folk music, vocal trio Lady Maisery shine brightly.
With their unique approach to harmony singing, intelligent and thoughtful arrangements of both traditional repertoire and original compositions, Hazel Askew, Hannah James and Rowan Rheingans harness and celebrate their united voice.
From acoustic to electronic, Harri Endersby blurs the lines of the folk genre, drawing inspiration from both contemporary and traditional music, as well as the rugged landscape of County Durham, the place that she calls home.
Her debut album Homes/Lives, released in February 2017, has impressed critics around the country and she has had tracks played on BBC 6 Music, Radio Scotland, and Radio Wales.
Tickets for the gig are priced at £12 early bird, £10 concessions and are available online at http://www.newmillsfestival.co.uk or in person from Priscilla’s Hallmark , Market Street, New Mills. Any remaining ticketswill be available at £15 full price on the door.
