Opera House wants your vote

Buxton Opera House and Pavilion Arts Centre is out to defend their Award for the ‘Most Welcoming Theatre in the East Midlands’.

For two years running, Buxton Opera House and Pavilion Arts Centre has beaten off heavy competition from over 200 other worthy rivals theatres to win the East Midlands Most Welcoming Theatre Award. Now looking for a chance at winning for the third year in a row Buxton Opera House needs you to help. If you enjoy a friendly chat with our staff, or being entertained at their performances this is the time to show it!

The award is your way of celebrating your local theatre and how it is an important part of the community. It’s not just a chance to raise the profile of the theatre but the town as well.

Theatres are the backbone of communities across the country and this campaign highlights the vital work they do”

This year there are more than 175 venues across the country to take part. The 12 regional and national winners of the vote will be announced on September 29before the overall winner is announced at the UK Theatre Awards which takes place at London Guildhall on October 15.
