A new steam engine will be pulling festive rail travellers in Derbyshire this Christmas.
Ring Haw has been enlisted for Peak Rail’s Santa Specials which start on Saturday, December 3 and run between Rowsley South and Matlock.
A bumper entertainment line-up has been arranged for festival rail travellers with carol singers on all services.
Clowns and magicians will also entertain passengers whilst every child gets a personal visit from Santa and a hand-picked gift.
But parents don’t miss out. They can sit back, relax and enjoy a glass of mulled wine and a minced pie whilst the kids enjoy drinks and sweets.
Peak Rail’s Jackie Statham said: “We pride ourselves in providing the very best festive experience possible and it’s wonderful that we’ve been able to provide a magical experience for hundreds of kids every year.”
Matlock Theatre Company will be singing carols as people board the train on Matlock Station on Sunday December 4, 11 and 18.
The Santa Specials run until December 24. To find out more and book your places visit http://www.peakrail.co.uk/santaspecials2016/ or call Santa’s helpers on 01629 580 381.
