Spring season packed with star names

luluLulu is among the performers who will be on stage at Buxton Opera House next spring.

The singer, who is celebrating more than 50 years as a recording artist, will be in Derbyshire on March 14 singing tracks from her new album Making Life Rhyme.

The 2016 season will also see concerts from Gilbert O’ Sullivan, Renaissance and Curved Air, and a tribute to Cilla Black.

Comedy fans are in for a giggle with acts such as Ed Byrne, veteran entertainer Brian Conley, Ruby Wax, Julian Clary and Stewart Francis.

Following this year’s superb production of Birdsong, the same drama company will return in February with Terence Rattigan’s Flare Path, an evocative portrait of life during World War II.
