Puppet theatre to the rescue

Buxton Drama League’s latest production, Alan Ayckbourn’s classic comedy Season’s Greetings, presented them with a unique challenge – how would they stage the memorable scene involving a terrible puppet show staged by one of the characters.

To solve the dilemma director Robbie Carnegie contacted Buxton’s puppet theatre, Funny Wonders and asked for help. and they made the puppets for them.

To see the results watch the play at Buxton’s Pavilion Arts Centre from 26–28 November.

Funny Wonders run regular puppet making workshops at The Green Man Gallery.
