Star-packed comedy season for Derby

ja_3Derby LIVE has a star packed, fun packed comedy line-up for people to enjoy this season.

With the likes of Patrick Kielty, up-and-coming star James Acaster, TV Star Sean Kelly and Derby Comedy Festival patron Jonny Awsum they will have you howling with laughter at the Guildhall Theatre.

Patrick Kielty returns to his stand-up roots with a brand new show Help! But he can’t do it on his own – he needs your help. Join him as he attempts to write a modern rulebook for love, life and happiness.  October 10, 8pm.

Rob Beckett – Mouth of the South – is back with a brand-new hour of funnies and he’s taking on the big issues like Kit Kats and flatbread. October 12, 8pm.

Terry Christian’s Naked Confessions of a Recovering Catholic takes a snapshot of life, overlooked by an all-seeing and often unforgiving God. Terry treats his audience to his stand-up performance in the first half, then following the interval he opens himself up for a no-holds-barred Q&A session. October 15, 8pm.

Running his mouth off about a bunch of stuff nobody even cares about – it’s James Acaster. October 17, 8pm.

Auctioneering Star of the huge hit TV show, Storage Hunters, Sean Kelly first found a taste of fame through stand-up comedy over 15 years ago. Now he brings his live comedy debut to the UK. October 23, 8pm.

Award-winning comedian and failed Buddhist monk, Sam Brady, explores his on-going struggle to be a “good person” and asks why kindness is so undervalued and so hard to practise. October 27, 8pm.

The science comedy phenomenon returns with “Just For Graphs”, an all-new show that’s off the chart. Join acclaimed stand-up mathematician Matt Parker, experiments maestro Steve ‘Danger’ Mould and geek songstress Helen Arney for graph-a-minute fun on an unprecedented linear scale. October 29, 8pm.

And last but not least Derby Comedy Festival patron Jonny Awsum and Friends will deliver a night of unmissable comedy on December 13, 7pm.
