Get ready to be amazed at magic festival

7H7A9254Get ready to be amazed by mind readers, magicians and comedy mystery performers at the Peak Magic Festival this month.

Two charity gala shows with some of the country’s leading acts are being staged at the Peak Shopping Village at Rowsley on September 19.

Following the success of last year’s first magic festival at the venue, Derbyshire-based magician and hypnotist Anthony Jacquin is returning with an even better line-up of entertainment.

The Reality of Magic Show at 1pm includes the trickery of Iain Jay, comedy magic from Marcus Lewis, mind-blowing illusion from Amit Badiani and dance magic from Sonia Benito with SoulNia.

The Spanish performer began with close-up magic which she then fused with her passion for dance to create a mesmerising stage show.

Your perception will be played with, and reality twisted, in the Evening of Mystery Show at 5pm.

The performers for this show, which is better suited for adults and those over 12-years-old, include musical empath Ian Harvey Stone, rockstar magician Phil Knoxville and mind reader Ben Cardall, who is an expert at speed-reading people and has the power to shock and amaze.

Tickets for the Old Station Building shows, which are in aid of the Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, are limited so it is probably best to book.

There will also be plenty of free entertainment at the shopping centre during the day including the World’s Only Giant Flea Circus, the UK’s most powerful Glitter Box, balloon modellers and children’s workshops.

Compering the event will be Kevin ‘Magic Kev’ Duffy who is billed as one of the zaniest and funniest children’s entertainers in the Midlands.
