Life-sized ghosts haunt Derby park

howard Johnson A photography project to mark the 175th anniversary of the opening of Derby Arboretum will see life-sized ‘ghosts’ haunt the park this summer.

The Arboretum is the oldest public park in the country and artist and photographer Howard Johnson has created an installation of 12 Victorian figures printed on to fireproof and weatherproof mesh which will be positioned around the park for the next three months.

He has also created an exhibition for the Orangery of Ghosts from the Past a unique photographic display of archive photos blended with modern photos which will be on from June 1- 27.

There is also going to be a Victorian Picnic in the Park celebration on June 14.
