Robert Powell explores Kipling

RobertPowell1The popular stage and screen actor Robert Powell explores the many different worlds of Rudyard Kipling in a show called Just So.

From idyllic memories of India to the horrors of the First World War, Kipling became one of the prime chroniclers of that time.

Powell’s readings will be accompanied with music from Christine Crowshaw on piano and Clive Conway on flute.

The show is on at Buxton Opera House on April 12 at 7.30pm and it is a rare chance to revisit the moving and often poignant eloquence of this extraordinary storyteller and poet who is widely regarded as one of the most intriguing and controversial of all our great writers.
