Operatic Society stage Oklahoma

long eatonLong Eaton Operatic Society will be performing Oklahoma this month.

Set in 1906, the rivalry between the local farmers and cowboys provides a vibrant setting against which Curly, a handsome cowboy, and Laurey, a winsome farm girl, play out their love story.

Laurey is being played by Anna McAuley and Curley by Dave O’Neal,

The musical contains some of the most celebrated songs in musical theatre including Oh What a Beautiful Morning, The Surrey with the Fringe on Top, People Will Say We’re in Love and I Can’t Say No.

It is being performed from April 14-18, at 7.30pm in Trent College, Long Eaton. There will be a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.
