The Fringe, which runs from July 8-26, showcases the best in new and seasoned performances and the committee says that the standard is looking as high as ever.
Currently music is the largest section but there will be award-winning comedy from Charles Adrian Gillott with his show Stories about Love, Death and a Rabbit and Titus Andronicus from Fringe Award-winning Smooth Faced Gentlemen, as well as Fringe favourites such as the family show, Tiny! Pirates and their Friends by Stone and Water and American bluegrass from Aprille and the Shower.
This year’s Fringe is spreading beyond Buxton with events taking place in New Mills, Crowdecote and Chelmorton, but dance duo Colin and Yozy, can claim the furthest journey as they will be attending the Fringe fresh from a tour of China and Japan.
Keith Savage, chair of the Fringe, said: “The whole committee becomes excited at this time of year when we see the programme begin to full up. It is brilliant to welcome back artists we know well, as well as meet fresh new talent. It is this time of year the Fringe really starts to begin again.”
The deadline for the last early entry offer of £70 is March 31. April 19 is the final deadline for inclusion in the printed programme.
