Buxton Opera House is offering a feel-good selection of live music events over the next month with tributes to Billy Fury, The Blues Brothers and Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.
Thirty-one years since the death of ‘Britain’s own Elvis’ Billy Fury, the original Fury’s Tornados will be on the Opera House stage with Halfway to Paradise The Billy Fury Story (Saturday March 7), performing Billy’s timeless hits in front of original screen projections.
Starring Colin Gold as Billy Fury, audiences can expect an atmosphere that’s both electric and emotional. Together with a special video introduction from Fury’s long-term partner Lisa Voice, all the classics will be featured including Last Night Was Made For Love, I Will, Jealousy and Halfway To Paradise.
The following week (Friday March 13) The Blues Brothers Experience is back in town to recreate the iconic performances of Dan Ackroyd and John Belushi, with backing from their stunning ten-piece band. The concert will feature hits from the movie soundtrack, making for an electrifying soul music experience.
Let’s Hang On will also lift spirits when the hit show returns to the Opera House (Sunday March 15), taking audiences on a musical journey through the history of one of the most successful bands of all time – Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. Featuring an anthology of hit songs including Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, Bye Bye Baby, December 1963 (Oh What A Night!), Walk Like A Man, Sherry, Working My Way Back To You, Big Girls Don’t Cry, Grease and many more, audiences will enjoy and electric night that is likely to get them on their feet and dancing.
Tickets are priced at £18 and £21 for The Billy Fury Story, £18.50 for The Blues Brothers Experience and £22.50 for Let’s Hang On.
