The group have recently returned to radio playlists with their new single The Party Line taken from their new album Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance, to be released in January 2015.
The tour is stopping at historic venues across Wales, England and Scotland after the band’s headline appearance at Pitchfork Festival in Paris.
Premiered on the BBC6 Music Drive show with Tom Ravenscroft, The Party Line has been praised as ‘an exuberant and dance-floor ready number that sees the Scottish indie pop outfit, flirting with funky disco grooves and tropical island rhythm’.
Girls In Peacetime Want to Dance will be the ninth studio album from Belle and Sebastian, produced and mixed at Maze Studios in Atlanta by Ben H. Allen III ( who has worked with Gnarls Barkley, Animal Collective and Deerhunter).
Additional mixing took place in Glasgow with long-time collaborator Tony Doogan before being mastered by Frank Arkwright at Abbey Road Studios.
