Despite the fire at the Assembly Rooms Derby Live have managed to stage as great a festival as ever and have found alternative venues all over the city.
There will be putting up a marquee on to the Market Place to replace the Great Hall; events that were in the Darwin will now take place in the Guildhall Theatre and the Old Bell Hotel on Sadlergate and the foyer folk club events will happen in the Guildhall Clubrooms.
Topping the bill this year are Show of Hands (pictured above), Kate Rusby and Steeleye Span.
They will be joined over the weekend of October 3-5 by among many others, Martin Simpson, the Lucy Ward Band, Phillip Henry and Hannah Martin, Merry Hell, Sunjay Brayne, Coope, Boyes and Simpson, David Gibb and Elly Lucas, Sarah Matthews and Maria Whatton, Red Ruff, Lester Simpson, Cardboard Fox, Treacle City Trio, Jez Lowe and the Bad Pennies and Steam Chicken.
