There are tons of activities for young people and their families to enjoy this year.
National theatre company Maison Foo’s Devising Theatre Day (Monday 14th at 10am) will teach how to create quirky characters and devise a short play.
Ever wanted to perfect your Broadway dance routines with a dedicated dance theatre? Then don’t miss Broadway Beats Dance Workshop with DÉDA (Tuesday 22nd at 10am).
Crazy circus skills, including stilt-walking and unicycle riding will be taught by Greentop Circus during their workshop Acrobalance on Tuesday 15th at 10am; and if plate spinning and juggling is your thing, Greentop will be back onThursday 24that 10am with Circus Skills Workshop.
For all shower singers – try West End musical director and vocal coach to the stars, Steve Pritchett’s ‘Glee style’ two day workshop Showchoir (Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17th at 10am).
There’s also eggchanting theatre shows during the Easter break; don’t miss the fairy tale adventure Dotty the Dragon on Monday 14th at 2pm in the Opera House.
The ever popular Sooty Show is coming direct from CITV with Sooty, Soo and Sweep on Tuesday 22nd at 11am & 2.30pm (at the Opera House); and Comedy Club 4 Kids will be delivering side-splitting gags to anyone over the age of six in Pavilion Arts Centre on Thursday 17th at 3pm. Science Museum Live will perform daring experiments live on stage on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th at 7pm.
There’s lots of new activities during EasterFest, but as a final treat put your glad rags on and come to the very first, and super-glitzy EasterFest Ball! (Wednesday 23rd at 6pm and 7.30pm).
