Sax player at Chesterfield Jazz Club

image001The superb saxophone talents of Stuart MacDonald will be on display along with the Organik Trio at Chesterfield Jazz Club on January 16.

Stuart began playing the saxophone at the age of 13 and at 16 he became a professional musician working on the cruise boats and touring with small and large jazz bands alike.

Stuart has played with many well known musicians including Shirley Bassey, Lisa Stansfield, Pete King, Gerard Presencer, Don Weller and Andy Sheppard to name but a few.

The January session at the club in Chester Street, Chesterfield starts at 8.30pm and will be featuring Wendy Kirkland (Hammond Organ), Pat Sprakes (guitar) and Clive Loveday (drums).

The programme will comprise songs and themes from the movies – the music of composers such as Lalo Schifrin, John Barry, John Williams, Alan and Marilyn Bergman, Henry Mancini, Sonny Rollins, Leslie Bricusse, Christopher Cross.
