Vitor%20Azevedo%20-TodayAudiences are invited to a visual feast at Déda in Derby on Friday September 21 with a double exhibition launch and an opportunity to experience a unique performance installation.

 Local Artist Vitor Azevedo (of Artsmith LIVE), will be exhibiting his work in the CUBE Café|Bar. Vitor’s work unravels a history of life sequences, describing personal events which represent significant passages of time and special moments.

Upstairs, in the Déda Gallery,the MORPH group have created a contemporary exhibition from the group’s diverse artistic practice. Curator David Manley aims to create an exhibition which responds to space, context and the surrounding elements.

Accompanying the exhibition, will be the opportunity to experience a live performance from the renowned Angela Woodhouse and Jerwood prize-winning artist Caroline Broadhead.

Between continues the duo’s ongoing investigation into intimacy and physical detail. Audiences are given the opportunity to share moments of quiet intensity with the performers, through intricate yet emotionally charged interactions. Viewers can choose whether to simply stand and spectate, or to become part of the uniquely beautiful performance.

The exhibition launch will begin at 6pm with speeches at 6.15. There will be three showings of Between at 7pm, 7.45pm and 9pm. Tickets are £5 and advanced booking is advised. Entrance to the exhibition launch is free.
