Eliza%20&%20JimARTSBEAT FOLK: A dream double-bill featuring two of the most popular folk singers today Eliza Carthy and Jim Moray will be at Buxton Opera House on Monday  May 27 at 7.30pm.

Jim and Eliza are both big figures in English music in their own right: Eliza has been touring for 21 years and has a Best of… album out in Spring 2013, while it is ten years since Jim put out his first album.

To mark these achievements and celebrate their anniversaries in style, they will be sharing a ten-piece band and playing a set each, with material from across their two extraordinary careers.

The band line-up will feature: Eliza Carthy (vocals, fiddle, accordion), Jim Moray (vocals, guitar, piano), plus David Delarre (of Gift Band, Mawkin – guitar), Sam Sweeney (Bellowhead – fiddle), Barnaby Stradling (Blowzabella, Edward II – bass), Willie Moleson (Eliza Carthy Band – drums) and many more musicians.

The show starts at 7.30pm. Tickets for Eliza Carthy and Jim Moray are priced at £19 and £21 and discounts are available.
