Madness frontman takes to Derby stage

suggs-pic-03ARTSBEAT THEATRE: The Madness frontman takes to the stage at Derby LIVE’s Assembly Rooms on April 27, 7.30pm in a hilarious, yet moving, one man tour-de-force that has received rave reviews.

Suggs will take the audience on a journey through his life through a mixture story and song, performing the odd classic from his and the Madness back catalogue. He will also break down the lyrics of songs like Baggy Trousers and Shut up.

The death of Suggs’ beloved cat on his fiftieth birthday triggers a personal quest to discover what happened to the father he never knew.

Stunned by what he learns Suggs is taken back to his childhood on the tough streets of 1970s Soho and his first appearance on Top Of The Pops at the age of eighteen.

Part play, part stand-up, part one-man concert, this entertaining and informative show from the charming Madness frontman will have the audience in stitches.

“Very funny, and delivered with a sense of timing and phrasing that many common-or-garden comics could learn much from” **** The Daily Telegraph
