Robin Hood is in Buxton for Easter

background barkARTSBEAT THEATRE: Uncontained Arts in association with Buxton Opera House and Derby Theatre has once more collaborated, this time to produce a laugh-a-minute stage adaptation of the much loved children’s story Robin Hood.

Join the Legendary outlaw Robin Hood and his band of very merry men as they rob from the rich to save the poor in what promises to be a comical, high octane adventure.

With Maid Marian by his side, this tights wearing bandit cannot be stopped as he defeats the nasty Sheriff of Nottingham time and time again!

Featuring live music, and puppetry and non-stop comedy, plus Little John, Friar Tuck, buckets of mud, and a host of colourful forest characters telling their tales along the way, this is a family show not to be missed! For ages four to 104.

Uncontained Arts are now in their fifth successful year and are the company-in-residence at Derby Theatre. Past children’s productions include The Little Mermaid (2009) Alice in Wonderland (2010), Not So Grimm Fairy Tales (2011) and Treasure Island (2012), all performed at the Opera House and venues across the UK and Ireland.

Robin Hood takes place at Buxton Opera House on Monday 1 April at 1.30pm and 3.30pm. Tickets are priced at £8 and £7 and discounts are available. For more information or to buy tickets call the box office on 0845 127 2190 or buy online at http://www.buxtonoperahouse.org.uk.
