Gritty dance and music at Déda

Tom Dale Company presents Refugees of the Septic Heart, a multimedia performance featuring exhilarating contemporary dance with cutting edge dubstep and techno music at  in Derby on Saturday March 23.

The multi-disciplinary urban performance features six exceptional dancers, new and previously unheard music by prodigious dubstep producer Shackleton and collaborator Vengeance Tenfold, and animation and projection by digital artist Barret Hodgson.

Refugees of the Septic Heart is an absorbing work of gritty physicality exploring ideas around societal change, notions of power, market values, the individual and the rise of technology within our daily worlds. At times philosophical and provocative the dancers search for a society free of greed, manipulation and control.

Tom Dale Company is based in Nottingham and currently resident at Dance4.

Tom has previously worked with Déda gifted and talented Youth Performance Company Bounceback to create a full length adaptation of The Rite of Spring accompanied by Sinfonia Viva’s sixty five piece orchestra. An excerpt of the full length work was performed at the U.Dance East Midlands youth dance platform and secured the winning trophy for the company.
