Time to sign up for Festival Fringe

buxton fringeARTSBEAT FESTIVALS: The Buxton Festival Fringe wants potential actors, musicians, comedians and exhibitors to start thinking ahead to the summer and sign up for this year’s event.

Although there is plenty of time left to enter, the early booking period, with entry costing just £45, runs out on February 28. After that, from March 1-31 the entry fee is £65 and from  April 1-21 it is £80.

Chair Stephanie Billen said: “There are already quite a few entries in for this year across all categories including the Military Tattoo, the popular evening of close-up magic, plus lots of theatre and music. It is great to see the programme shaping up on our website http://www.buxtonfringe.org.uk.”

This year Trevor Osborne of Fringe supporters The Osborne Group is offering a new opportunity for musicians to perform on the Pump Room roof during the Fringe and even be paid for it!

For more details see the venues page on the Fringe website.

The website also features lots of help for entrants including an ever-growing venues list and tips on how to increase audiences.

Entrants wishing to perform with the managed venue Underground Venues, should work to their earlier deadlines as detailed on their website http://undergroundvenues.co.uk/.

This year’s Fringe runs from Wednesday 3 to Sunday 21 July.
