Bill Oddie Unplucked at Opera House

unplucked-header copyARTSBEAT TALKS: Fifteen years ago, Bill Oddie and Stephen Moss arrived at the same spot on the banks of a North London reservoir.

From this brief encounter and the realisation that they were both life-long birders came the partnership we know today.

Reality, frustration, disappointment, joy and humour have always been integral ingredients in everything Bill and Stephen have done together including several series of Birding with Bill Oddie, Bill Oddie Goes Wild, How to Watch Wildlife, and collaborations on the precursors of Springwatch and Autumnwatch.

Whilst much of their work features wildlife that you can see for yourself in Britain, there have also been spectacular expeditions abroad to various parts of Europe, and across the Atlantic, from Disneyworld to Patagonia.Bill and Stephen will share their special memories and stories from their time working together when they come to Buxton Opera House with their new family show -Unplucked, at the beginning of March.

The pair’s anecdotes and stories will be illustrated by video extracts, (some were so memorable that they ranked amongst viewers’ most requested clips) from Bill’s ludicrous attempt to swim with seals, to the breathtaking air display of a starling roost. Bill Oddie – Unplucked with Stephen Moss takes place at Buxton Opera House on Sunday 3 March at 7.30pm.

Tickets are priced at £16 and £18 and discounts are available. For more information or to buy tickets call the box office on 0845 127 2190 or buy online at http://www.buxtonoperahouse.org.uk.
