Making Tracks at Old Poets’ Ashover

makingtracksbARTSBEAT MUSIC: Popular acoustic duo Ian Roberts and Trev McMaster will be taking centre stage at The Old Poets’ Corner in Ashover next week.

The pair, as Making Tracks, will be playing songs by Sean McConnell, Ryan Adams, Josh Ritter and Neil Young among many others.

They aim for a natural sound with just two acoustic guitars and no backing tracks. They focus on vocals and harmonies to create a sound that’s easy on the ear.

They have been regulars on the pub circuit for sometime and have played at both Bakewell and Ashover festivals.

If you want to hear them get yourself down to the Old Poets’ on Friday February 8 from 9pm.

The good news is if you miss them there they are playing at Brampton Manor in Chesterfield on February 22, The Barley Mow, Bonsall, on March 31 and August 25, Thornbridge Hall on July 7 and The Poet and Castle, Codnor on August 4.
