New comedy from John Godber at Derby Theatre

losing the plotA brand new comedy Losing The Plot by prolific playwright John Godber is set to tour the UK in the spring with two famous faces taking on the roles.

John has a long, popular association with Derby audiences – with previous showings of his plays in the city, including On The Piste, Bouncers, Teechers and April in Paris, completely selling out!

Steve Huison, familiar to millions as Lomper in the UK hit film The Full Monty is set to play Jack Munroe, a middle-aged man who, after walking out on his Job, his wife and his teenage children, sets off to travel Europe and write his much-promised novel.

He returns with no money, no novel and no idea why he left. Steve trained at Rose Bruford College and has since appeared in a number of well-known TV programmes including Dinnerladies, The Royle Family and, most notably, as Eddie Windass in Coronation Street.

Susan Cookson plays Jack’s wife Sally, a flower shop owner. Susan is mostly known for playing Mrs Kath Wylie in the BBC Drama Casualty however she has also appeared in Emmerdale, Clocking Off, Fat Friends, Peak Practice and most recently Mount Pleasant.

Losing the Plot is part of the theatre’s season ticket deal which means you can book three shows and get ten per cent off. If you book four shows or more you get 20 per cent off.
