See in the new year at Opera House gala

Opera%20GlassesAfter its massive popularity last year, Buxton Opera House is opening its doors once again for its stunning New Year’s Eve Gala Concert, boasting the 44-piece British Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.

With compere Mark Langley and a quartet of top-class British opera singers, the evening promises many vocal and orchestral favourites from opera, ballet, film, TV and musicals – rounded off at midnight with Auld Lang Syne, a touch of Vienna and a New Year singalong for the whole audience.

It’s certain to be an Opera House night to remember and worthy too with profits going in aid of future artistic and capital work at both the Opera House and the Pavilion Arts Centre.

If audiences want to make a complete night of the event, there is still space available to join other gala revellers for a three-course pre-concert dinner at 7.15pm, in the magnificent Octagon, located in the Pavilion Gardens complex.

Enjoy wonderful food and great company, and then take the short stroll down the Promenade to the Opera House for the concert – the perfect way to end the year and ring in the new!

The New Year’s Eve Gala Concert takes place at Buxton Opera House on Monday 31 December at 9.30pm and is priced from £20 to £35.

The pre-concert dinner starts at 7.15pm at the Octagonand is priced at £37.50.
