Credit%20Geraldine%20CurtisGetting fit and healthy in the New Year couldn’t be easier, than with a huge range of dance and healthy living classes at Déda in Derby. Why sweat it out on a treadmill when you can have lots more fun in a high energy, friendly dance class?

Offering a dynamic class programme of more than 50 classes a week, Déda has something for everyone, from ballet to ballroom, and swing jive to salsa. Their friendly tutors are experts in their field and will make you feel relaxed and comfortable. There is no need for specialist clothing, shoes or equipment in any of our classes – just go along and find the perfect class for you.

Dance is an absolutely fantastic way to get yourself moving and keep fit and healthy. However at Déda they believe that the benefits aren’t just physical. It’s a great way to learn a new skill, feel more confident, get creative and make new friends. There are lots of reasons why dance is the fastest growing art form in the UK.

Déda’s friendly and inclusive class programme means that absolutely anyone can enjoy dance. They have classes suitable for children aged six months and upwards, right the way through to adulthood. The majority of the classes are suitable for absolute beginners, so even if you think you have two left feet, they don’t mind – all they ask is you take along your enthusiasm and have a go.

In Summer 2012 Déda launched the popular Street Fit® class, a fitness class combining high energy street dance routines with the latest chart tunes. Harnessing the aerobic and muscle-toning aspects of street dance, class participants learn several short and funky routines, each targeting a different area of the body.

Déda also holds classes in two different styles of Yoga and a very popular Pilates beginners course. Known for stretching, strengthening and elongating the body’s muscles, these classes are also an excellent way to bring some calm into busy lives.

You could also try balletcontemporarybelly dancesalsaswing jive or tango to name just a few of the classes on offer.
