Christmas arrives at Cromford

Festive-SeasonChristmas arrives at Cromford this weekend with two festive events.

The Choirs and Carols Christmas Market is being staged on the Promenade outside Scarthin Books on Saturday with more than 30 stalls and on Saturday and Sunday their will be a fair at Cromford Mills.

The village event is open from 11am to 5pm, and as well as the market stalls there will be festive refreshments such as mulled wine and roast chestnuts.

There will be entertainment by choirs from Bonsall, Cromford and Middleton-by-Wirksworth schools and the Cromford Community Band.

In the evening the festivities will continue at The Boat Inn.

At the Mill Yard there will be an art and makers Christmas market open between 10am and 4pm each day and a variety of other entertainment including carol singing on Saturday afternoon.

You will be able to meet Father Christmas and see reindeer between 1pm and 3pm and there will be a wreath making workshop between 11am and 12 noon on both days.

Plenty of mulled wine, mince pies and roast chestnuts will be available to keep you warm.
