3D Derby Deaf Drama on stage at Déda

3D Derby Deaf Drama returns to Déda this Christmas to present another traditional seasonal show for all the family to enjoy.

Following the sell-out success of previous shows Magical Christmas Stories (2009) Snow White, (2010) and A Christmas Carol (2011), 3D will present another great festive show on December 8 and 9 for the sixth year running.

Join the company as they tell the tale of Belle, a beautiful young woman who’s taken prisoner by a hideous beast in his castle. Belle befriends the castle’s enchanted staff – and ultimately learns to see beneath the Beast’s exterior to discover the heart and soul of a prince.

Beauty and the Beast is participatory theatre for children and families presented in British Sign Language with voiceover.

3D Theatre Company was set up in 2002, funded by the Community Learning Fund project to give deaf adults an opportunity to develop themselves through education.

The company gives deaf adults the chance to learn new skills such as communication, teamwork, administration and financial management along with craft skills such as directing, lighting and acting. Since 2004, 3D has become an independent theatre company with volunteers, and run by Deaf people.

Tickets for the performance of Beauty and the Beast are £8 (£6 for under 16s) and can be booked by telephone on 01332 370911 (Déda is a TypeTalk friendly venue), by email on info@deda.uk.com or online at http://www.deda.uk.com.
