A trio of dance treats at Deda

Award winning choreographer Gary Clarke invites you to join him for a Ménage a Trois – a tantalizing, lip smacking, triple bill of striking contemporary dance works at Déda, in Derby, on Friday November 16 at 8pm.

Gary’s new show brings together the light-hearted yet darkly humorous one woman show Cameo Cookie, the highly acclaimed rib tickling, finger clicking 2 Men & A Michael and the riotous and raunchy Horsemeat mentored and directed by contemporary dance diva’s Javier de Frutos and Nigel Charnock.

Cameo Cookie focuses on the American singer and religious activist Anita Bryant who campaigned in the 1970s to crush the gay rights movement; 2 Men and a Michael is a typically British deadpan send-up of stand-up, via the antics of Gilbert and George and Morecambe and Wise; and finally, Horsemeat is a bold, brash and amusingly honest performance confronting the gritty realities surrounding gay love, family life, sexuality and the pains of growing up.

The evening will include interval entertainment from wannabe drag queens Juicy Jo and Luscious Lydia and a post-show party in the CUBE café/bar.

Gary Clarke recently worked with Déda choreographing the large-scale outdoor spectacular Games Time which was performed in Darley Park as part of Derby Festé in front of 25,000 people.

Tickets are £10 (£8 concession) and are available from the Déda Box Office on 01332 370911 or online at http://www.deda.uk.com.
