Red Dog Productions are bringing their interesting reimagining of Charles Dickens’ famous novel Dombey and Son to Buxton, with a rogues gallery of unforgettable characters telling the famous Victorian story.
This is a tale of pride and passion, generosity and greed, of human foibles and the society which breeds them. For Dombey money and the power it brings are the only gods worth worshipping. But can money really buy him everything of which he dreams? What of love, or life itself?
In this sparkling new adaptation by the revered company Red Dog Productions, Dickens’ story of characteristic humour, indignation and pathos will delight, outrage and entertain in equal measure.
Dombey and Son takes place at Pavilion Arts Centre, Buxton on Wednesday November 7 at 7.30pm. Tickets for the show are priced at £10 & £12 and discounts are available. Call the box office on 0845 127 2190 or buy online at http://www.buxtonoperahouse.org.uk.
