The community organised Chatsworth Road Festival in Chesterfield kicks off this weekend.
There is a host of activities and events being staged during the week-long festival and budding artists might want to check out the Design, Draw and Create Workshop being held on Sunday (October 7) at St Thomas’ Centre Chatsworth Road (behind St Thomas’ Church).
It is an opportunity to spend an afternoon in a wonderfully creative atmosphere with six local professional artists. There will be two sessions during the afternoon and you will be able to choose two activities from the following; ceramic tiles, life drawing, textile art, monoprinting and collage.
You have to pre-book if you want to go along so email firstname.lastname@example.org and tell her your two choices. The session will cost £8 per person and is suitable for anyone aged 16 and over. It is being held from 1pm until 4.15pm
All abilities are welcome and it is perfect for all people with an interest in art and creativity. An exhibition of the work created will be shown at Created Gallery, 420 Chatsworth Road, the following Saturday.
